Our mission
Why VidaMed exists
Many people in the UK choose to have elective surgery overseas. Their reasons are their own. What they often find is a gap. Before travel, there may be no one to check they are ready. After travel, it can be unclear who should look at a wound or answer a worrying question.
VidaMed exists to close that gap. Our mission is to make sure that every patient who travels for elective surgery has UK clinical support at both ends of the journey, and that the clinics they choose are held to clear, published standards.
The model
How we are set up
UK-registered clinicians
Our network is made up of independent GMC-registered doctors and NMC-registered nurses, supported by CQC-registered diagnostic partners.
Published standards
Overseas partner clinics are reviewed against our Partner Standards, which anyone can read.
VidaMed was founded by a UK doctor and a finance professional. One brings clinical judgement and the other brings financial discipline. Together they aim to build a service that patients can trust and clinics can work with.
