Better prepared UK patients and continuity of care after they fly home

VidaMed works with overseas clinics that meet our published Partner Standards. We screen UK patients before surgery and look after them when they return, so your team receives clear information and your reputation is protected.

Benefits

Why clinics partner with VidaMed

Fewer day-of-surgery cancellations

Patients arrive having had UK screening. Issues such as uncontrolled blood pressure, anaemia or medicines that need adjusting are found weeks earlier, not at the pre-op desk.

Higher conversion of hesitant UK patients

Many UK patients worry about who will look after them at home. A named UK aftercare route answers that worry and helps them decide with confidence.

Continuity of care protects your reputation

Questions in the weeks after surgery are handled by a UK clinician who knows the patient. Concerns reach you promptly and in a structured form.

Structured data back to you

You receive clear aftercare reports instead of scattered messages, with the patient's consent.

VidaMed does not own or run clinics, does not perform surgery and does not direct your clinical decisions. Your surgeons remain responsible for the care you provide.

The partnership

How it works

  • You are reviewed against our Partner Standards, which we publish.
  • UK patients choose you freely. We provide information, never pressure.
  • Before travel, with the patient's consent, you receive a Surgical Readiness Summary.
  • You remain the treating clinic. Your surgeon decides whether to operate.
  • After the patient returns, a UK clinician reviews them and sends you structured reports.
  • If a concern arises, we use an agreed route to reach your clinical team.

What you receive

Information that helps your team

Surgical Readiness Summary

Written by a UK-registered clinician and shared with patient consent.

  • Relevant medical history and current medicines
  • Blood results, BMI and ECG where indicated
  • Allergies and anything your anaesthetist should know
  • Any issues found and how they were addressed

Structured aftercare reports

Sent after UK reviews, with patient consent.

  • Wound status and recovery progress
  • Imaging findings where clinically indicated
  • Concerns raised and actions taken
  • Escalation notes when you need to be contacted

Onboarding

How to become a partner clinic

  1. Submit the clinic form

Tell us about your clinic, procedures and accreditations through the clinic form.

  2. Introductory call

We discuss your services, your UK patient volume and how the partnership would work.

  3. Document review

You share evidence against each Partner Standard, such as licences, surgeon credentials and policies.

  4. Review decision

We tell you the outcome and, where needed, what would need to change. Review is not a guarantee of quality or outcome.

  5. Agreement and set-up

We agree how summaries and reports will be exchanged securely and who your points of contact are.

  6. First patients and re-review

Partnership begins. We re-review periodically and when something material changes.

Fees

A simple per-patient fee

VidaMed charges partner clinics a fee for each patient who travels to you through the partnership. There is no listing fee and no charge for patients who do not proceed. Your fee is set out in your agreement before you accept any patient, so there are no surprises. Exact terms are discussed during onboarding.

VidaMed does not take payment from clinics in exchange for a better review result. The standards apply equally to every clinic.
