Procedures

Procedures we support

VidaMed does not perform surgery. We help you prepare in the UK, and we look after you when you come home, whichever procedure you choose to have abroad.

Four areas

Choose your procedure type

Each page explains what UK screening looks like, what to expect in the days and weeks after surgery, and which warning signs matter.

Bariatric surgery

Gastric sleeve, gastric bypass and band revisions. Checks include HbA1c, iron, B12 and vitamin D, plus sleep apnoea screening. Aftercare covers diet stages and long-term supplements.

Bariatric surgery

Body contouring

Tummy tuck, liposuction, Brazilian butt lift, and arm or thigh lift. Focus on clot risk awareness, fitness to fly, seroma checks and compression garments.

Body contouring

Breast surgery

Augmentation, reduction, lift and implant revision. Focus on your implant information card, wound and drain checks, and ultrasound where clinically indicated.

Breast surgery

Facial surgery

Rhinoplasty, facelift and blepharoplasty. Focus on the swelling timeline, flying after surgery and scheduled follow-up.

What stays the same

The same safety framework for every procedure

  • A UK consultation with a GMC-registered doctor or NMC-registered nurse before you travel.
  • Bloods, BMI and history reviewed, with an ECG when clinically indicated.
  • A Surgical Readiness Summary shared with your chosen clinic, only with your consent.
  • Help comparing overseas partner clinics reviewed against our published Partner Standards.
  • A UK review within days of your return.
  • Wound checks and scheduled follow-ups at home.
  • Ultrasound or imaging through CQC-registered diagnostic partners where clinically indicated.
  • A clear route to escalate concerns, including who to call and when.

Your surgery is carried out by your overseas surgeon and clinic. VidaMed is independent and coordinates your UK care around it. See how it works.

Other procedures

Planning something not listed here?

The four areas above are where we see most enquiries. They are not the only procedures we can help with. Some operations suit remote UK follow-up well. Others need closer in-person monitoring than a UK aftercare service can safely provide.

If your procedure is not listed, tell us what you are considering and when you hope to travel. A UK clinician will tell you honestly whether we can support it, and what we would need to see first. Write to hello@vidamed.co.uk or use the contact page.

If you have an emergency at any point, call 999 or go to A&E in the UK. If you are abroad, contact your treating clinic and local emergency services.

Questions

Common questions

Does VidaMed recommend a particular procedure?

No. Whether to have surgery, and which operation, is a decision between you and your surgeon. We check that you are medically ready, help you understand the risks and plan your UK follow-up.

Can I use VidaMed if I have already booked a clinic?

Yes. Many people come to us with a date and clinic already chosen. Pre-op screening and aftercare can be arranged around your plans. If screening raises a concern, we will discuss it with you before you travel.

Can screening stop me from having surgery?

Screening may show that a condition needs attention first, or that a delay would be sensible. Your clinician will explain why and what to do next. The final decision always rests with you and your surgeon.

Which package covers procedure-specific checks?

Pre-op Clearance covers screening before you travel. Aftercare covers your return. Complete Journey combines both. Prices are on request. See pricing.

Not sure where to start?
